The Ella Book series has been a dream in the making for a few years. When both of my sons married women of another race, I wanted to ensure that my grandchildren had positive images of both sides of their family in addition to bi-racial children. I went to the local bookstore to purchase picture books that featured bi-racial children (because I knew someone must have written one already), only to find nothing that suited my needs. And that is how the Ella Books Series came to be. My goal is for my books to highlight the advantages my grandchildren possess from interacting with family members on both sides of the cultural and racial divide.
